Durasek, first Croatian rider for Team Lampre

In 2013, Croatia will join the group of Countries that will be represented by Team Lampre’s cyclists.
General manager Saronni signed Kristijan Durasek, the first Croatian rider in twenty years of blue-fuchsia history.

Durasek, born in 1987 in Varazdin, became pro in 2008: during his career, he obtained three National titles (road in 2009 and 2011 and time trial in 2011, in addition to other important results he got especially in 2012 season, such the 3rd position in Gp Industria e Artigianato – Larciano, the 7th place in Giro dell’Appennino and the 3rd place in Passo della Bocchetta stage in Giro di Padania.
As a pro rider, he raced for Perutnina Ptuj (2008), Team Loborika (2009, 2010 and 2011) and for Adria Mobil (2012).

Durasek seems not to be worried by the move to a World Tour team: “It was my dream, a huge gratification after many efforts. I thank the teams that supported me during my career. In 2012 I performed an interesting season and I’m sure I will be able to improve my qualities in a top team such Team Lampre”.
